Scope and contact

This policy explains data handling by Long Screenshot Toolbox (bundle ID com.mrxiao.longshottoolbox) and this support website. The app is maintained by its developer, referred to here as “we.” For privacy, access, correction or deletion requests, contact love.angledemon@gmail.com.

This website provides privacy, support and purchase information. The app is being prepared for release; downloadable versions and sale availability are determined by its App Store listing. This policy describes the current implementation and does not claim App Store approval or validation on every device.

Selected images and on-device OCR

The app uses the system photo picker to access media you choose. Image processing, stitching, OCR text recognition, opaque redaction and PNG export run on your device. Screenshots and OCR content are not uploaded to developer servers. If selected media is stored in iCloud, the system may download it according to your Apple settings.

Private app projects retain imported images, edit and undo records, redaction coordinates, necessary OCR candidates and processing provenance, keyword rules and completed output. The app does not retain full OCR transcripts. Pending candidates may retain a minimal matched fragment. Rejecting a candidate clears its text; completing final review clears accepted candidate text, including corresponding undo and redo copies. Coordinates and review decisions remain for editing. Keyword rules you choose to save remain until you delete them.

Source images and videos can still contain private information. OCR may miss or misread text; inspect the whole result before sharing. Redacting an exported copy neither changes originals in Photos nor deletes the underlying project media.

Recordings and audio tracks

The recording entry imports an existing video you select and extracts images locally from the chosen time range. It does not record across other apps, perform speech recognition or upload videos, audio tracks or extracted frames to developer servers. Video previews may play the original audio.

The project retains a private copy of the entire imported video, the selected range, selected frames and their timestamps. That video copy may include audio, notifications and metadata even when only a portion was processed. Exported PNGs contain images only, without a video or audio track. Temporary import and processing files are managed separately from saved projects.

Website capture makes network requests

Website capture uses an in-app WebKit browser to load the URL you enter and its resources. The destination site and embedded third parties receive network requests and may process your IP address, browser information, cookies and login information you enter on that page. Their policies govern those activities. The app as a whole is therefore not entirely offline.

Each capture uses a separate non-persistent website session and does not inherit Safari sign-in state. Leaving capture stops loading and requests removal of session data; returning may require signing in again. Website addresses, cookies, passwords and authentication tokens are not written to projects or sent to our own servers. Captured images remain in the local project.

Closing a temporary session does not erase information held by the destination website. Clearing the web session and deleting a captured image project are separate actions. Capture covers the loaded range you confirm; it does not guarantee complete capture of every website, lazy-loaded content or video, and does not bypass login, payment or access restrictions.

Storage, backup and deletion

Project files use iOS system file protection and remain until you delete them. Projects and local usage records may be included in Apple system backups according to your device settings. The app has no developer-operated cloud sync or server backup. Apple backup and restoration depend on your system settings and Apple services.

Previews, intermediate import files and temporary sharing copies are excluded from system backup. Rebuildable caches can be cleared in the app; files still in use by import, processing or system sharing must wait until that operation ends. Temporary sharing copies are not a separate permanent project backup.

After you confirm deletion, the app first attempts to save the deletion request. If that request cannot be saved, the original project and files remain. Once it is saved, the app removes the project from the usable project list and cleans up its app-owned media, edits and saved output. If the system refuses cleanup or completion cannot be saved, the Projects page shows Pending deletion. Some files may already be deleted while other data may remain on the device. The app retains the project identifier and name to continue cleanup and removes this record once cleanup is confirmed. Retry cleanup is free, and the app also attempts cleanup at startup. Pending deletion is not a recycle bin and cannot restore the project.

Deleting a project does not automatically delete originals in Photos, copies saved to Photos or Files, files shared with others or independent system backups. Manage those separately. We have no server copy of your screenshots from which to restore deleted data.

Free-use record and unlock status

The three creation entry points share one free complete creation. The app records it locally only after a complete output has been successfully generated, validated and saved so that it can be retrieved. See purchase details.

This counter uses no separate app account, cloud counter or device fingerprint and does not sync across devices in real time. Local records may be restored with system backups. Reinstallation is not guaranteed to preserve the same count, and the app does not claim a globally shared one-use limit per Apple account. Deleting projects or a verified refund does not reset a used allowance.

After Apple verifies a revocation, creation access is determined by any remaining free allowance. Projects and completed output are retained; viewing, deleting and retrieving saved output do not require buying again. Restoring the unlock does not restore unbacked-up local projects.

Apple payment and purchase restoration

The unlock is an Apple non-consumable in-app purchase with no automatic renewal. The app uses StoreKit to obtain products, localized prices and verified purchase status, and provides Restore Purchases. Apple processes payment; we do not receive your card details or payment-account password.

Apple can provide transaction information needed for verification and store sales reports to the developer. See Apple’s privacy policy. Status may change with your Apple account, a refund or a verification result; offline access cannot immediately reflect every server-side change.

Feedback you choose to send

Feedback opens a shared web form. Its link includes the app identifier and display name for categorization. Only when you submit the form are your message, category, optional email and any app/system versions you choose to include sent to a feedback service using Cloudflare Pages/Workers and D1 so we can address and reply to your request.

The form may keep an unsubmitted draft in the current browser and clears it after successful submission. Temporary browser sessions may not preserve drafts between sessions. The form does not automatically read Photos, attach images or upload diagnostic logs. Avoid unnecessary sensitive content.

Retention and deletion rules are in the shared feedback privacy notice. To access, correct or delete feedback, send its reference number to love.angledemon@gmail.com; you do not need to send original screenshots. Email messages and addresses are also processed by the email provider.

This website and service providers

This website is hosted on Cloudflare Pages and contains static information only, with no custom cookies, local storage, forms, ads or analytics scripts. When you visit this site, the feedback site or an email service, the relevant provider may process requests, IP addresses and device or browser information for delivery, security and operation.

See the Cloudflare privacy policy for its processing and cross-region infrastructure. The app does not include advertising or third-party behavioral analytics SDKs, and we do not sell your screenshots or feedback data.

Your choices and policy updates

You choose which media to import, whether to visit an external website, whether to send feedback and whether to include versions. Manage Photos permissions and backups in system settings. You can delete projects (including their media, edits and output) and saved keyword rules in the app; manage exported or backed-up copies in their respective locations. Contact love.angledemon@gmail.com for personal-data access, correction, deletion or other requests.

Effective and last updated: 2026-10-02. If data handling materially changes, we will update this page and provide in-app notice when needed.
